- Structure, negotiate, and execute trade finance transactions including letters of credit, documentary collections, and trade loans.
- Manage the issuance, amendment, and negotiation of trade finance instruments in coordination with banks and financial institutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and trade partners across Europe and Africa.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for trade finance-related inquiries and negotiations.
- Develop and manage export financing strategies to support international sales and expansion.
- Work with export credit agencies, multilateral agencies, and financial institutions to secure financing and insurance for export transactions.
- Assess and mitigate financial risks associated with international trade transactions.
- Implement strategies to protect the company against non-payment, currency fluctuations, and geopolitical risks.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, sanctions, and export controls.
- Prepare and review trade finance documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and trade partners across Europe and Africa.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for trade finance-related inquiries and negotiations.
- Conduct financial analysis to support trade finance decisions and optimize cash flow management.
- Prepare regular reports on trade finance activities, performance, and market trends for senior management.
- Work closely with the sales, logistics, and legal teams to ensure smooth execution of export transactions.
- Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on trade finance processes and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification is a plus.
- 5-10 years of experience in trade finance/export finance within banking. Preferably candidates with experience across heavy sectors.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, trade finance instruments, and export credit agencies.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
