Job offer: Cost Accountant

Our client operates as a food import and distribution firm, specializing in sourcing and delivering top-tier branded meats and dry food items globally to various sectors including retail, hospitality, catering, and hotels across the UAE and wider GCC regions.

• Analyzing and managing costs
• Developing and maintaining cost accounting systems to track expenses and identify areas for cost reduction or efficiency improvement
• Conducting regular cost variance analysis to compare actual costs to budgeted or standard costs
• Collaborating with procurement and production teams to optimize purchasing decisions and minimize waste
• Generating reports and presenting findings to management to support strategic decision-making
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations in all cost-related activities
• Participating in budgeting and forecasting processes to provide accurate cost projections
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives across the operations

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar cost accounting role
• Professional qualifications are a plus
• Good communication skills
• GCC experience is required
