Job Presentation

The client is a global consultancy with a strong presence in the engineering and project management industry, operating across more than fifty countries.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including consultancy agreements, framework agreements, and NDAs for regional units.
  • Identify governance departures in contract reviews and assist project teams in obtaining necessary internal approvals.
  • Advise the business on applicable laws, jurisdictions, and regulations.
  • Revise and maintain legal templates across the Group, ensuring compliance with current best practices and legislation.
  • Instruct and manage external law firms.
  • Draft and update legal guidance to raise awareness of recurrent issues and new regulations in key markets.
  • Advise the business on litigation and insurance matters, liaising with external counsel and technical experts as needed.
  • Assist the Regional Head of Legal and collaborate with other members of the regional legal team.
  • Support other legal functions, including Ethics & Compliance, Data Protection, and Insurance teams.

  • Minimum five years PQE, at least three of which are within the construction sector.
  • Experience living and working in the Middle East, with an understanding of local civil laws..
  • Relevant legal experience from a top national law firm or in-house, ideally within a consultancy or contractor environment.
  • Strong practical understanding of legal principles, commercial law, and construction law, particularly in cross-border supply contexts.
  • Experience handling legal matters across multiple jurisdictions, especially in the Middle East, with a good grasp of civil law systems in the region.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills with the ability to multitask and solve complex problems.
  • Confident communicator, capable of engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders and providing clear legal advice.
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a larger team.
  • Familiarity with international development projects and contracts is an advantage but not essential.
