Our client is a well reputed family office in Kuwait, managing multi-billion dollar investments across asset classes globally
The Head of Investments will be involved in the below:
- Define and refine investment objectives and policies that align with the family office's mission and goals.
- Develop and implement asset allocation strategies that optimize investment portfolio performance and risk management.
- Manage a diversified portfolio, including multi-asset, multi-currency, and multi-custodian strategies, in accordance with the family office's investment guidelines.
- Conduct market research and financial analysis to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities.
- Continuously monitor and assess the performance and risk of the investment portfolio.
- Adjust the portfolio as necessary to respond to changing market conditions and investment objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of investment professionals.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback to foster professional development within the team.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, evaluating associated risks and expected returns.
- Present informed investment recommendations regarding corporate finance assignments to the President and the executive committee.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including custodians, banks, auditors, and advisors.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive investment reports and insights to the President and executive committee.
- Clearly communicate investment performance and strategies to stakeholders.
A successful Head of Investments should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.
- 15+ years in investment management, with a proven track record of leading investment teams and managing diverse portfolios across US and/or Europe, preferably in a family office context in GCC
- Exceptional analytical and portfolio management capabilities.
- Strong negotiation and deal-making skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficient in portfolio management software and financial analysis tools.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- High integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
- Proactive, results-oriented mindset.
