Main Responsibilities:
- Investment Scouting and Due Diligence: Uncover and evaluate promising investment opportunities, conducting meticulous background checks (due diligence) to ensure their viability.
- Business Planning and Risk Management: Collaborate with company leadership to craft and refine 5-year business plans, pinpointing potential risks associated with investments and developing strategies to mitigate them.
Specific Tasks:
- M&A Support: Assist with the internal due diligence process for mergers & acquisitions (M&A), creating financial models and analyzing potential growth scenarios.
- Feasibility Studies and Alignment: Develop and maintain models for feasibility studies, collaborating with department heads to ensure operating assumptions are consistent.
- Strategic Planning and Support: Contribute to the 5-year business planning process, aid in preparing presentations for investment committees and boards.
- Market Research and Growth Strategy: Assist in conducting market research studies and developing plans for business expansion.
- Insights and Recommendations: Leverage financial analysis and market research to provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management, including identifying growth opportunities, optimizing capital allocation, and supporting strategic decisions.
- Market Data Integration: Provide input on key macroeconomic data like market benchmarks and demographics, which are used for feasibility studies, business plans, and other analyses.
- M&A Transaction Support: Collaborate with external teams performing financial, commercial, and legal due diligence for M&A transactions.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or engineering.
- MBA in Finance or CFA certification preferred
- Minimum 3+ years of experience.
- Experience in the education sector is a plus
- Experience in transaction advisory or deals is preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills with proven financial modeling experience.
- Excellent analytical capabilities and experience creating compelling MS Office presentations
- Ability to effectively liaise with business functions to gather input required for analysis
- Ability to be detail-oriented while maintaining a big-picture perspective
- Deadline-oriented and take ownership of work
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
